Description

Beaches, mountains, cliffs and exuberant vegetation are mixed forming a privileged scenario.

The plot of 850m² has a slope that descends from north to south towards the views. The environment is low density with predominance of isolated single-family homes with abundant green areas and beaches.

The vertical volume is located in the East area of ​​the plot, contains the most private areas (bedrooms and bathrooms) which receives direct light in the morning. The cover of this volume has the same slope as the plot.

The horizontal volume flies towards the South and the West, adapting to the geometry of the West boundary. Its south face is totally glazed to illuminate the building with natural light especially during the winter months. Its west face is completely closed by a ventilated facade that blocks the predominant wind (Galician) as well as the most intense solar radiation during the summer months.

A double-height space above the room allows the penetration of sunlight to the back of the room during the winter months.
The living-dining room is oriented to the south, to have an optimal sunlight and the best views. Sliding glass doors allow connecting this space to the porch and the garden. The kitchen is open to the dining room and integrated with the living-dining room. There is a toilet, a laundry and a boiler room in the areas that are in contact with the ground.

On the ground floor, the vestibule gives way to the staircase that communicates with the basement floor, to a walkway that communicates with the study-viewpoint and the distributor of the bedrooms, where you can also access the bathroom, the study-viewpoint.

All the pieces have natural ventilation and lighting. All the main pieces except one bedroom have gaps to the south.

The structure of the building is formed by steel beams and pillars with walls and massive reinforced concrete slabs. A ventilated façade of gray porcelain of large format (3mx1m) to match the zinc that was used on the roof and the north elevation. Aluminum windows with thermal bridge break. Double thermal and acoustic insulating glass.
